The RAF Football Association would like to thank Air Vice-Marshal (AVM) Tam Jennings for her significant contribution as the President of the Association over the last 5 years. AVM Tam has been a fabulous ambassador for RAF Football, providing outstanding support to all who play, coach, officiate or administer the game within the Service. A regular attendee at games and events across the country during this time, she was actively engaged at every level of the game, and will be greatly missed. The Association wishes the Air Marshal all the best for the future.

AVM Tam will be succeeded as the President by AVM Jason Appleton, who is currently Air Officer Commanding No. 2 Group. A life-long Bolton Wanderers fan, AVM Appleton thanked his predecessor for her dedication to RAF Football and expressed his feeling of genuine privilege at taking on the role. AVM Appleton will be supported in the role by two newly appointed Vice Presidents: AVM Phil Robinson (Chief of Staff (Operations), PJHQ) and The Venerable Dr (AVM) Giles Legood (Chaplain-in-Chief and Archdeacon for the RAF), who are also both keen football fans. The RAF FA would like to extend a warm welcome to the three Air Marshals – we look forward to introducing you to the amazing people involved in our beautiful game across the RAF.
